CEO Introduces Online Documentation

Astute users of Collect Earth Online will have noticed a change in the “Guides” section of our website earlier this year.

We are incredibly excited to announce the official launch of our comprehensive online documentation platform! We understand that clear, accessible, and up-to-date documentation is crucial for our users, and we believe this new platform will significantly enhance your experience and empower you to make the most of CEO.

🎉 Our new documentation platform

The new online documentation site features a modern, intuitive interface designed for easy navigation and quick access to the information you need. Our new documentation has a number of features that CEO users will appreciate.

• Searchable. The online documentation is easily searchable using the Search interface in the upper right corner. Search all of CEO’s documentation quickly and easily to find the most relevant information.
• Organized. Four tabs at the top of the page break down CEO’s functionality into logical sections. Learn how to get started with CEO, how to perform Data Collection tasks, or delve deeper in the Institution Management and Project Creation sections.
• Fast updates. The online documentation can more easily be updated for new feature releases. Users and potential users around the world will have better access to the most up-to-date documentation. This will facilitate capacity building during and after workshops as well as self-directed learning.
• Up to date PDFs. Each time the documentation is updated, a new PDF is automatically generated.
• Flexibility. You can view the documentation through the web portal, by downloading the PDF, or by downloading an HTML folder that will give you all the functionality of the website while offline.

You’ll find detailed guides, tutorials, FAQs, troubleshooting tips, and much more, all organized logically and searchable. We have also made sure the content is easily digestible, with clear language, helpful visuals, and step-by-step instructions where appropriate.

🌌 Accessing offline documentation

To download PDFs and offline HTML files, simply click on the tab in the lower right hand corner of the documentation screen.

This will open a small window where you can select either the PDF or HTML option.
